Baker Tilly Channel Islands Joins Greening Jersey to Support Rewilding Efforts

Baker Tilly Channel Islands is proud and delighted to announce its participation in Greening Jersey, supporting environmental recovery and rewilding efforts across the island. 

Greening Jersey has been established to promote environmental recovery and chiefly, the rewilding of Jersey, through partnerships with local charities including the National Trust Jersey and Jersey Trees for Life. The initiative aims to bring together the financial services industry to pool resources and help transform and rewild sites across the island, with benefits that will be seen for generations. This is not just about planting trees; it is about restoring nature across a range of habitats, from woodlands to wildflower meadows and wetlands. 

Ewan Spraggon, Managing Director at Baker Tilly Channel Islands, commented: "We are delighted to be part of the Greening Jersey initiative, which represents a fantastic opportunity for Jersey’s financial services industry to come together and make a tangible difference to our Island’s environment. On Friday, 17 January, Baker Tilly Channel Islands joined other participating firms in the first volunteering event under the initiative, contributing directly to the rewilding efforts. Employees engaged in meaningful, hands-on activities, helping to lay the groundwork for lasting environmental impact. 

The Greening Jersey Trust is an excellent example of how the finance industry can collaborate to accelerate progress toward on-island sustainable development goals. 

We would like to encourage other Jersey Finance Members to join us and become participants in this initiative by signing up and making an annual contribution by 31 January 2025, more details can be found here.
