Unika Schonken

Unika, a valuable addition to Baker Tilly Channel Islands since 2022, brings a wealth of experience, having previously worked at Baker Tilly Greenwoods in South Africa. As a dedicated member of the Assurance and Advisory Team in Jersey, Unika adeptly manages a diverse portfolio of clients. 

Her academic journey started at Stellenbosch University, where she pursued a degree in accounting. Building upon this foundation, Unika further honed her skills by earning a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Accounting Science and a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting at the University of South Africa 

Unika holds the prestigious distinction of being a registered member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), a testament to her dedication and rigorous training. This achievement underscores her commitment to excellence. 

Unika's professional focus revolves around servicing clients in funds, real estate, private wealth management structures, pension plans and government entities. As a manager, she collaborates closely with the Channel Islands Assurance and Advisory team, ensuring meticulous attention to clients' needs. With more than 6 years of experience, Unika has consistently delivered exceptional service to clients across various industries, showcasing her versatility and depth of expertise. 

In her spare time Unika enjoys paddleboarding and spending time in the ocean, fine art, travel and reading.
