Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Tax Associate to join our growing Tax department. This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional with a minimum of three years of proven experience in a similar role to manage a diverse portfolio of Financial Services clients, both locally and internationally, handling tax compliance and advisory work.

As a Senior Tax Associate, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of local and international tax environments. You will work closely with clients on tax structuring, managing operational tax risks, and understanding the implications of investing across different jurisdictions. Your role will include advising clients on local and overseas tax matters and providing insights on the tax implications of transactions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied portfolio of Financial Services clients, including tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Assisting clients in meeting their tax obligations and managing the impact of tax on their business.
  • Supporting the tax team with the preparation and review of corporate returns for Jersey, Guernsey and UK tax taxable entities, and engaging in key tax advisory projects.
  • Liaising with tax authorities regarding queries and preparing written tax advice for clients.
  • Contributing to the broader business activities, including recruitment, strategy planning, and business development, in collaboration with directors across the firm.

About You

We are looking for a qualified professional (ACCA/ACA/CTA or equivalent) who is currently working at the Senior Associate/ Consultant level in a tax role, ideally with experience in practice. You should have:

  • Experience in UK Corporation Tax or similar jurisdictions, with knowledge of international tax principles. Experience with Jersey/Guernsey tax is a plus.
  • Experience working with Financial Services, Private Equity/Funds, and/or Real Estate clients is desirable but not essential.
  • A strong background in tax compliance and advisory work, including report writing.
  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships, combined with excellent attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Experience managing junior staff and a passion for developing and mentoring others.
